1953 Chevy Gasser

 

Note:

  • Rear wheel wells were cut out and re-shaped using a dremel and bondo glazing putty.  Engine was swapped out and is now a 427 from the Revell Baldwin-Motion corvette.
  • ​Painted using Tamiya XF-56 Metallic grey, no clear coat, waxed using The Treatment wax except for the roof which was left flat.  Chrome trim a combination of Bare Metal foil and Molotow chrome pens.
  • ​​Combination of box decals and Slixx gasser decals.  "Arizona Wildcat" decal from Slixx was an homage to my Arizona roots.

Note:

  • Revell '68 Dodge Dart Landy Pro Stock.  Built out of the box with added engine compartment details​
  • Engine wired and compartment finished with most visible wires, hoses and fuel lines.  Clothing rivet used to simulate the air cleaner.  Interior details include wired tach and seatbelts made from P/E and masking tape.
  • Car finished in Tamiya Gloss Silver and lightly weathered in the engine compartment and chassis.

Note:

  • Painted using Rustoleum spray paints, Colonial Red and Brilliant Blue, no clear coat,paint is rubbed out and waxed.​
  • Solid copper lines run from fuel distribution block to injector hat and to intake manifold.  Scratchbuilt barrel valve and throttle linkage.  All fittings and braided lines from Detail Master along with blower pulleys and belt.
  • All decals are box decals and tire lettering was done with Tamiya acrylic flat white paint
