'38 Ford COE Pick-up 

 

Note:

  • Started with Jimmy Flintstones '41 Ford COE. Ground away on the front end to make it look like a '38 COE. Used '38 Grill from Revells '37 Ford Pick up kit. Pickup bed and fenders are from Revell's '50 Pickup.
  • Chassis is scratch-built. Front wheel drive transmission is a resin copy of the one found in the the rare Oldsmobile kit. Engine, bumpers, wheels and tires are from the my parts box. Headlights are from a '41 Willies.
  • ​​Green paint is a blend of 3 different Scalefinishes colors. Black paint is Tamiyas TS-14 Gloss Black.

  • Paint is Testors Chrysler Yellow and Bright Touch Red auto primer, weathered and rusted.  Scratch built surfboard rack. Surfboard, roll bar, spare tire/wheel, cooler and case of Coke from parts box. Parts box bucket seats. 
  • Engine wired, exhausts rerouted, aluminum tips. Scratch built air intake. 
  • Wheels from MPC 1988 Dodge Charger Shelby.  Stance Lowered.

  • ​Lowered Stance using Nascar kit Suspension; Pegasus T's wheels with painted spokes;
  • Hairspray technique used to get weathered appearance; custom hand painted "Water Company" door logos, V8 Engine swap with a wired distributor, Pro-Tech Aluminum Air cleaner, Braided Radiator Hose; Parts by Park Steering Column; Ken's Dice.
  • ​​Custom Tilt Hood; Custom Firewall and Trans Tunnel to accommodate V8 Engine; Filled in Pocket windows to make this truck and 3 window instead of a 5; rear bed tubs, BMF on bed rails

Foose FD-100 Tow Truck "Midnight Cowboy"

 

Note:

  • Extended frame & rear axle, lowered an inch more,  aluminum driveshaft,  smoothed running boards, deleted front bumper, aftermarket tire decals, flocked interior, aftermarket & scratch built engine details.
  • Tow bed came from Revell's Midnight Cowboy kit. Lots of scratch built details, mud flaps & tow sling also scratch built. One piece car jack turned into a multipiece item & a tool box.
  • Painted lilac silver satin with matte clear & top is painted aluminum metallic with gloss clear.

'31 Ford Truck

 

Note:

  • This is a Trans kit from Best Model Car Parts. The back part of the cab, fenders, bed and bench seat are resin. the rest is from the Revell 31 Ford Sedan kit. I lowered the suspension for a better ride height but other than that its pretty much from the box.
  • I used the kit four cylinder flat head. I added wiring and fuel lines. the snorkels and header are from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. I scratch built a Cherry Bomb glass pack on aluminum tube exhaust pipe.
  • The paint is Duplicolor Garnet Red metallic and Tamiya Gloss Black. a .010" gold pinstripe was added to the belt line and the dashboard. then it was covered in Shopline 2 part clear.
