  • This build was inspired by the Modelhaus rear tires and was a "parts box raid"
  • Bass wood was used for the bed, rails and rear bumper. Cab was chopped 3 1/2 scale inches, aluminum tubing used for exhaust stacks, seat belts, homemade decals.
  • Paint is Tamiya olive drab with patina

  • Lowered, weathered with acrylics, salt method, Dremel & xacto blade. De Soto front grille, Cadillac Sombrero hubcaps on whitewalls from AMT's parts pack, weathered convertible top, aftermarket HEI distributor.  Added a front radiator part to the kits radiator.
  • Center console smoothed & wrapped with bmf, foiled floor board, rear seat removed, scratch built speaker box, corvette front seats, skull character with scratch built details. Scratch built smaller console.

1932 Ford Coupe "Knucklehead"

 

Note:

  • Build was inspired by the T.R.O.G. racers in New Jersey. Salt-method & rattle can patina, open top & suicide hinged trunk lid. Chassis was weathered with acrylics & chalk. Scratch built hot rod side mirror. 
  • Lightly weathered Hudson Twin-H 6 cylinder stuffed into it, plumbed & wired like the 1:1 version, scratch built spark plugs, scratch built aluminum exhaust, aluminum driveshaft, '29 Ford grille wheels, tires & drum brakes also from the '29 Ford kit.
  • Fully weathered interior, real foam in the bench seat. Channel locks to open the doors from the inside. Bare metal foil on the floor board & weathered, wood in the trunk area with a plumbed fuel cell. Trunk area I also weathered.

  • Body is Bright Touch Red automotive primer, rusted and weathered. Door is Testors Classic White Lacquer.  Front grille is custom version from kit. Added inner rear wheel wells. Cut out top, added wood rails.
  • Engine is 6 cylinder Chevy from Monogram 53 Chevy kit. Wired, scratch built exhaust with wrap and aluminum.
  • Parts box wheels and tires. Stance lowered. Interior BareMetal foil, floor mats, skull shifter from jewelry bea, Bucket seats from parts box.

Model A Sedan

Note:

  • The body has been chopped channeled and the roof opened up. Chassis has been "Z" ed. Ford Flathead V8 with Ardun heads, custom exhaust headers, beehive oil filter, starter, generator, Halibrand 5-slot wheels and tires from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland.
  • Added tractor style grill. Scratch-built seats, fuel tank, headlights and "Booby" shift knob. Plumbed and wired the engine.
  • Paint started out as Testors Plumb Purple, covered with Testors Dullcote then brushed on about 4 coats of "Rustall". Door decals are from Slixx Decals.

  • The body was channeled over the frame and the bed was shortened. the bed was also slotted to sit lower on the frame.
    the interior door panels were scratch built . the steering wheel is from my parts box. The grill is from MCG. the Fuel tank is scratch built.

  • The engine is from an AMT 53 Corvette kit with scratch built intake and exhaust header. The tail pipe is aluminum tubing
    and the air cleaners are from MCG.

  • Paint is Dynotron Black Primer.
